Tabar is in the historic center of Ljubljana; the restaurant is located in the ROIG bicycle factory.
Tabar has two floors; the ground floor is dedicated to the tapas formula, where you can enjoy around 15 cold and hot tapas, which can be shared by the whole table.
On the second floor, a small dining room where chef Jakob Pintar serves an original blind tasting menu that focuses on vegetables grown in his garden and also seasonal meat and fish dishes.
For our lunch of three, we had chosen the tapas formula, and we had really enjoyed our choices of dishes. Each dish was savory, delicious, and very well prepared and cooked.
The wine list was very impressive and reasonably priced. Their non-alcoholic drinks were also pretty good.
The service was cool, friendly, and engaging.
Tabar and Georgie Bistro in Ljubljana were the two best restaurants we have eaten in Slovenia.
