• Le Bordeaux Bakery in Dà Nang was a pleasant surprise, we are looking for French pastries to offer to our friends who came from Hanoi to meet us. 

    We wished to offer to our friends a taste of France, so we started to look for a French bakery in Da Nang and we found Le Bordeaux Bakery at the address 03 An Nhon 14 which is ten minutes by car from our hotel. 

    When we arrived at their boutique, we found a Frenchman named Loic who was a new partner at Le Bordeaux Bakery, he explained to us that his shop is the secondary shop of le Bordeaux Bakery and that he used to have a bistro in Lyon and sold it at the beginning of 2020 to travel around Asia and ended up in Vietnam during the Covid crisis and therefore he had decided to stay for good and he became partner with the two founders of Le Bordeaux Bakery who are from Bordeaux. 

    We asked him what is good in his shop and of course he replied by saying “everything”, but he advised us to order the macarons and the specialty of the house was the famous Canelé from Bordeaux. We ended up ordered both of them. 

    Le Bordeaux Bakery is a little corner of France in Dà Nang and as French travelers like us, it is nice to have a taste of France far away from home

  • At Å by T.U.N.G, we had our best meal of the year 2022. We were highly surprised by the quality and the savory offered by chef Hoang Tung. His venue is the first-of-its-kind debut at the heart of Ho Chi Minh City in 2022. His first fine dining restaurant opened in Hanoi which was on the list of Asia’s 50 best list 2021. 

    His A by TUNG Dining is probable one of the best fine dining in Ho Chi Minh City, he elevated fine dining to a new level that Vietnam has yet to experience. 

    At A by TUNG, guests were treated to a 19-course tasting menu in a beautiful and elegant space located in a townhouse at Tan Dinh district. 

    His “ A Leap of Faith” menu was simply a knock-out and mesmerizing, each byte was a discovery, a journey from Nordic states to Vietnam. 

    His culinary knowledge, his innovation, his choice of freshest ingredients and his vision of how fine dining should be making his restaurant stand-out 

    The wines list was well referenced with international labels as it should be, the restaurant also offered juice pairings which our Littleboboon Junior loved it. 

    The service was nice but a little bit hasty, It is really a Vietnamese flaw. Restaurants owners in Vietnam should train and manage better their staff.

    Å by TUNG has all the ingredients of a high-quality restaurant. Chef Hoang Tung should be an inspiration to all the chefs and restaurateurs who have the ambition to elevate the Vietnamese dining scene. 

    When the Michelin guide arrives iin June 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, they should at least reward two stars to Å by Tung Dining and Tung Dining respectively

  • Maguro Studio is one of the finest Japanese restaurants in Saigon. It serves premium sushi and sashimi à la carte but also an Omakase menu. 

    The young chef, Trung Tran is focused like a Samurai, he cuts the fishes like a master swordman. The chef’s Omakase menu is refined, refreshing and the fishes are top notch quality. 

    The Omakase menu is well thought, each dish is well prepared, masterfully conceived and presented. 

    The sushi dishes were extremely fresh, perfectly cut, each piece is delicate, tasty and ultra-delicious 

    The wine cellar is well supplied with a wide range of sake. 

    The service is discreet but efficient. 

    We understood now why the Michelin guide arrives in Saigon, Vietnam because the city has become the culinary hotspot in South-East Asia.

  • Pizza 4P’s is a great concept and franchise created in 2011 by Yosuke Masuko and Sanae Takasugi. Together, they set the company’s strategy to “make the world smile for peace” and drives Pizza 4P’s mission to create a world where anyone can experience the “taste” of long-lasting happiness 

    Their project has been a success in every level, business wise, 4P’s currently have four business units: Restaurants, Cheese production, Cheese wholesale, Dairy retail. As of April 2020, the main restaurant business has a total of twenty-six restaurants. 

    Their pizzas are incredibly good, original, tasty, and perfectly sourced. Yosuke Masuko makes his own cheese and grows his own vegetables in the restaurant’s farm in the central highlands, making Pizza 4P’s a farm-to-table gem. It is hard to decide which of the eatery’s creations are the best – from Italian classics to fusion pies like the salmon miso cream and tandoori chicken curry pizzas. 

    Each location is a pearl in terms of design and comfort, all the restaurants have an industrial look with a chic interior. 

    Their drink list is grandiose it is range from artisanal beer to Sake; from cocktails to natural wines; from soft drinks to customize coffees. 

    The service is efficient, friendly, and welcoming. 

    In case you must wait for your table, Pizza 4P’s has an incredibly delicious drink to make your waiting time seems short.

    We wish to have Pizza 4P's in France, we are tired and sick of mediocre pizzas sold everywhere in France, from Paris to Marseille.

  • Aubergine 49 was the most surprising fine dining we had found in Hoi An, Vietnam. 

    The young chef, Nguyen Nhu Thinh who was formed by the great Japanese, Seiji Yamamoto in Tokyo, so when he came back to Vietnam, he decided to demonstrate his learning skills to Vietnamese and foreign customers in Hoi An. 

    His cooking is French with an Asian touch, his set menu of three dishes was a delight as illustrated by his signature dish “Roasted and Pressed Aubergine” served with Da Lat buffalo Mozzarella. Each dish was perfectly cooked, presented and well balanced in terms of flavors 

    As any fine dining venue, Aubergine 49 had a nice and affordable wines list. 

    The service was impeccable, our waiter was helpful, friendly and he spoke particularly good English.  

    Chef Thinh has an undeniable talent and for us, he deserves a restaurant in his image, which is to say, a classier and more elegant place. 

    Aubergine 49 is on our list of the best restaurants in 2022.
